Walter George Jordan III age 85 passed away Monday, June 22, 2015. He was born in Evansville, IN November 23, 1929 and moved to Indianapolis in 1942. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1947 and joined the US Navy that same month. He served three years onboard aircraft carrier as a plane captain in fighting squadron VF-43.
In 1951, He met Lois Shreve at Rollerland Skating Rink and they were married on December 23, 1951 in the Broadway Baptist Church. They have been happily married for 63 years until the time of His passing. In those years Mr. Jordan's family (His mother, father, and three sisters) having passed away.
He and His wife had three children, sons, Walter IV and Philip Jordan; daughter, Tyla D'ann who passed away at the age of 50. They have 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Jordan retired in 1984 after 40 years as a weight and measure technician and in those retirement years he began writing His first two novels were published and at the present time He has completed 5 novels.
