Walter Gene Sutton

Walter Gene Sutton, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be home with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Walter was born February 13, 1940 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Nute and Lula Sutton. He married the love of his life Marie Shelton and relocated to Indianapolis for work. He worked most recently for Miller Veneers for over 22 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Marie Sutton; daughter Millie Sue Wagers (Eddie); grandson Daniel Gene Wagers; and great-grandson Eddie Alexander Wagers.

He was preceded in death by his son Walter Gene Sutton, Jr., his parents, brother Martin Sutton last April, sister Marie Busone, as well as numerous other siblings.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 31 from 12 to 2 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis with Funeral Services beginning at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
