Walter F. Holzhausen

Walter F. Holzhausen, 83, formerly of Shelby County, IN, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Walter was born in Indianapolis, on July 11, 1933 to Otto F. and Alberta Rose (Hartman) Holzhausen. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. Walter was a Master Carpenter, retiring from Mil-Con. Walter was a member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge 715, earning his 50 year pin in 2011. He was a longtime member of St. John United Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Walter is survived by his children, Dale (Sherri) Holzhausen of Fenton, MO and Dana (Ken Pearson) Overman of Fort Myers, FL; Grandchildren, Joshua and Heather Holzhausen. Preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Joan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East. Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10am. Entombment with military honors will be in Washington Park East Cemetery immediately following the service.
