Walter B. Helmick

Walter B. Helmick, 86 of Indianapolis, IN was born in 1929 and passed away on June 20, 2015 in Indianapolis. He was born in Indianapolis to Percy and Eva Helmick, who precede him in death. He worked as a Sales Rep and Service Manager for Eagle Machine Company and Churchman Equipment Company. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and could fix most anything. He enjoyed spending time at the farm and loved doing for his grandkids. He was known for calling everyone "Ace". In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn and brothers, Francis and Donald. Surviving to cherish his memory are his children, Candice Gauer, Sheila Burton, Randy Helmick, Leslie Helmick, Roger Helmick, Rebecca Parman, Sandra Helmick, and Chris Helmick, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Friends may visit with Walter's family from 4-8 PM Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis with the celebration of life being held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Contributions may be made in his name to the charity of your choice.
