Vondia C. Graves, 80 of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday September 23, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on March 7, 1941 in Grundy County, TN to the late Vernon and Beatrice (Hobbs) Stoner. Vondia loved to spend time with her friends and family. She loved to sing with her sisters, often traveling with them to different churches to sing for others.
Vondia is survived by her children, Tonya Benedict, Richard Lay, and Christina Caudill; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Charles Stoner; and sisters, Dean Fishburn, Bernice Barnes, and Avis Cannella. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Granville Lewis Graves; daughter, Tammy Lay; granddaughter, Tosha Lay; brother, Everett Stoner; sister, Katie Dykes; brother, Cotton Stoner; and brother, Carl David Stoner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 2nd, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, where a funeral service will begin at 2:00. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Indiana at IN-Greater
