Virginia May Caldwell

Virginia May Caldwell, 91, of Martinsville, passed away on July 11^th, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis to the late Harvey Lee and Glenna G. Skaggs (Carney).

Virginia worked for 10 years as a Corrections Officer at the Indiana Women’s Prison, where she retired from.

She was the matriarch of the family; she was strong-willed but would do anything for her friends and family. There was an open door for anyone who needed help.

Virginia had a love for reading and going through her catalogs. She adored spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Victor and Harry Hargraves, and brother Tony Skaggs.

She is survived by her children Sharon and David (Diana) Wilson, sister Dee Burke, granddaughter April Rardon, 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 18 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 24 from 10 am to 3 pm with services to follow directly after.
