Virginia Lee Elbert

Virginia Lee Elbert, 91, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

She was born on August 20, 1928 in Huddy, KY as the oldest of 6 daughters to the late John and Kate (Robinson) Jenkins. Jenny graduated from Arsenal Tech High School and the Approved University of Beauty Culture. She was a retired office worker, beautician and was a devoted wife and mother. Jenny was also a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her flowerbeds, and bowling at All Star Bowl. More recently, Jenny enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Don Elbert; children, David Elbert and Felicia (Chris) Crowel; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Jenny is also survived by 1 sister; and she was preceded in death by 4 sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
