Virginia D. Landau-Adair (Elsey), 98, of Indianapolis, went to be with the LORD on Wednesday July 29, 2026
Ginny was born to Ivy and Henry Elsey on May 21,1928 in Cleveland Ohio. The family moved to Royal Oak Michigan where Ginny graduated from Royal Oak high school. She joined the Methodist church and choir. There she caught the eye and ear of James F. Landau.
They were soon married on March 6,1948 . Soon after their family grew with three sons, Steve, Ron and Doug (deceased).
The family moved several times in Michigan and then to Indianapolis IN. Both Ginny and Jim joined the Lawrence Methodist church and choir. Jim and then Ginny ended up working at Finance center at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
Jim passed on February 1987.
Steve Adair caught Ginny's eye and they were married on November 21, 1992. Ginny and Steve moved to Lakeland Fl where they enjoyed the Florida sunshine and golf, Steve Adair passed on July 2007.
Ginny moved to Kettering, Ohio to be near Ron, and then moved to Indianapolis in 2011 to be near Doug.
Ginny is survived by two of her sons, Steve and Ron. Grandchildren, Damon, Charis, Benjamin, Rachel, Amanda and Elizabeth. and great grandchildren Aidan, Druce, Sterling, Kai , Doug, Rose, Damon, Charis, Ivy, Stellia, Max, and Theo.
Visitation for Virginia will be from 10 am until 11 am on Monday, August 10, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East. 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229, with a funeral service immediately following at 11 am. Entombment will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery.
