Virginia Krutz

Virginia Krutz, 80, passed away June 7, 2015 at her home in Indianapolis. Virginia was born in Brownstown, Indiana to Hugh and Martha Lucas on February 23, 1935. She worked for Northwest Radiologist as a Radiology Technologist for 35 years. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. Virginia was married to Samuel F. Krutz (Indianapolis) for the past 59 years. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers Joel William Lucas of Brownstown, Ernest Lucas of Columbus, Hugh Lucas Jr. of Seymour, Robert Lucas of Brownstown; and a sister Betty McGlasson of Knoxville, TN. Virginia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Samuel F. Krutz; two sisters Charlotte Sherrill of Medora and Laberta Otte (Milton) of Seymour; three sons Dr. Samuel D. Krutz (Melissa) of Fountain City, Steven Krutz of Monroe, WI, Carl Krutz and a daughter Carol Petro (Loran, Jr.) of Indianapolis; ten grandchildren Samuel R. Krutz, Amanda Krutz, Ashley Krutz, Adam Petro, Elizabeth Driver (Ian), David Krutz (Alex), Devon Krutz, Benjamin Petro, Erin Grube, Kelly Grube; four great grandchildren Kaleb, Madilynn, Sammy, Uriah. Visitation will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Home (5463 Kentucky Ave) in Indianapolis on June 11, 2015 at 4:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (6341 Mann Road, Indianapolis) on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 11:00am with Reverend John Dunaway. Burial will follow at West Newton Cemetery (West Newton, IN). Pallbearers: Dr. Samuel Krutz, Samuel R. Krutz, Steven Krutz, Devon Krutz, David Krutz, Adam Petro, Benjamin Petro. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the physicians and nurses of IU Health Methodist Hospital for their care and support over the years.
