Virginia Jean Winter

Virginia J. Winter, 83 of Indianapolis passed away on June 3, 2013. One of ten children, she was born June 27, 1929 in Velpin, IN to Blythe and Esta Belle McCormack who precede her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Winter, Jr., sisters, Ruth, Betty, Velma, Anita and Jessie and brother, Charlie. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Jim (Bobbi) Winter, Gary Winter, Karen Winter, sisters, Delores Wessel and Roseanna Abercrombie, brother, Robert McCormack, four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Virginia retired from Standard Grocery as a meat wrapper in 1990. She enjoyed playing cards and traveling around the country. Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis.
