Virginia Alice Dyer

Virginia Alice Dyer, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. She entered into rest at the age of 87 on July 28, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1936, in Smith Grove, Kentucky to the late Martin Luther Smith and Matilda Manda (Crabtree) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Rue; siblings Lucille Doss, Myrtie Broudy, Roger Smith, Birtha Boston, Joe Smith, William Smith, Edna Grimes, Dorothy Morgan and James Smith. Virginia leaves behind to treasure her memory, her two children, Frank Dyer and wife, Joyce and Shelly Gregory and husband, Terry; grandchildren Kristi (Dyer) Evans and husband Eric, Brandi Dyer, David Gregory, Lauren (Gregory) Cheek and husband Justin, and Brooke Gregory; great grandchildren Andrew Evans, Austin Evans and Lily Gregory. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 2 pm with visitation from 1 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Burial to follow at Floral Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please give to the Alzheimer’s Association.
