Violet June Jones

Greenfield, Indiana – Violet June Jones, 88, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026.Violet was born on March 9, 1938, to parents Eli & Addie (Keith) Morrow in Monticello, Kentucky and married Floyd Jones, in 1958. They celebrated 59 years of marriage together before Floyd’s passing in 2017.

Violet loved flowers, quilting and crocheting. She was a baptized believer of the Christian faith.

Violet is preceded in death by her husband Floyd Jones; parents Eli and Addie Morrow; and siblings Cundiff, Margie, Charlcy, and Bernice.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Corlette and Lori Yazel (Nathan); grandchildren Casey Corlette, Tiffany Maresma (Mario), Zachary Yazel (Lindsay), and Hunter Yazel (Janelle); and great-grandson, Thomas Maresma; Many nieces and nephews as well as two sisters-in-law, Donna and Joretta also survive

A graveside service will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 10 am. Guests will meet at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) prior to the service.
