Violet Bowers

Violet Bowers 85, of Indianapolis, passed away Feb. 18, 2011. She was born November 28, 1925, to the late Mary and Ellis Freeman. Violet was married to Herman Bowers, and he preceded her in death after 61 years of marriage. Violet retired after 20 years of service at Fort Benjamin Harrison, in department EREC. Violet is survived by her children, John (Jacqueline) Bowers, Peggy Bowers; grandchildren, Dawn Bowers, Shelaine (Dean) Gilmer, Patrick Bowers, Morgan (Gabriel) Lawless; and 4 great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Violet will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Washington Park East, 10722 E.
