Vincent W. Seegers

Vincent W. Seegers, 81 of Carmel, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 11, 2022.  Vince was born on December 1, 1940 in Melrose Park, IL to the late Harold and Dorothy Seegers.  He served in the US Army and was Honorable Discharged.  Vince was a graduate of Elmhurst College, in Elmhurst, IL.

Vince started working with his father at Seegers Hardware Store in Melrose Park, IL as a teenager and throughout his college years.  After graduating college he went into management and worked for Sears, where he met his wife, Karen.  Vince later worked for Goldblatt’s, the W. Bell & Co., and the TJX Company (Marshalls) where he retired from in 2004.  He also worked part-time for 25 years at Best Buy in Illinois and Carmel, IN.

He was a wonderful Dad and Grandpa.  He loved riding his John Deere Tractor and the bicycle that he built for his family and traveling to Mackinaw City, MI, and spending time with his daughter and grand-pups.  He also liked to call and talk with his friends and watch reruns of Dragnet and Highway Patrol.

Vince was a loving husband, father, and grandpa.  He is preceded in death by his wife Karen Seegers; his grand-pups, Snowball, Starlight, Angel, and Noel; and his brother, Thomas Seegers.  He is survived by his daughter, Holly L. Seegers (spouse James Fox); grand-pup Bella; and his sister, Alyce Belgio.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Monday, February 21 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel.  Burial will follow at Oak lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fishers, IN.
