Victoria “Sweetie” Williams was born in Gary, IN, on April 12, 1961, to O.W. and Dorothy Williams, who preceded her in death. She was a twin among nine children, of whom, one brother, Fredrick Williams, preceded her in death.
She was a lifetime residence of Gary, IN, until she moved to Indianapolis, IN in April, 1999. Victoria was a member of Galilee Baptist Church until she moved to Indianapolis, where she was a member of Fervent Prayer Church (Pastor James Jackson). She was employed as a food service worker for four years at Indiana School of the deaf, Indianapolis. She loved being around family, attending bar-b-que’s, watching movies and television.
Victoria departed this life into HIS loving arms, on Thursday, September 16, 2010.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her daughter, Angelica (Edward) Rice; son, Jamal Gault; adopted son/nephew, Jamail Williams; four grandchildren, Aria, AyZera, Emmanuel Lee and Avree-Maria Victoria, all of Indianapolis, IN. Seven brothers and sisters, O’Dell (Victoria) Williams, Atlanta, GA; Gloria Brown; Lovell Williams; Richard Williams, of Merrillville, IN; her twin sister, Valata (Augustus) Pompey, Gary, IN; Louis Williams, Hammond, IN; Roxanne (Ricardo) Medina of Merrillville, IN, Uncle Col. Joseph (Caroline) Brown, San Antonio, TX and Aunt, Jessie (Clarence) Bowden of Gary, IN. Three special nieces and nephew, Pamelia “Peaches” Brown, Merrillville, IN; Roderick Frye and Tawanna “Holly” Harris of Gary, IN and aunts, with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
