Victoria Cox

Victoria M. Cox, 90, was reunited with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 28, 2011. Victoria was born on July 7, 1920 to Grace Anderson and Owen Perry Wilson. She was the fourth child in a family of eight brothers and sisters. She graduated from high school in Robinson, Illinois. She lived in Indianapolis most of her adult life. She attended college and had a rewarding career in nursing, pharmacology and home care. She was a dedicated member of the Broad Ripple Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron three times. She was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Victoria cherished many things in life; most important to her was her relationship with God, family, friends and card club members. Those who knew Victoria knew that she had unique qualities as a trusting, loving and caring person. She celebrated her 90th birthday in July 2010 with her children, grandchildren, family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Al Cox, and is survived by her sons, J. Mark Wilkerson and wife Kay (Dallas, TX), W. Rodney Wilkerson (Newburgh, IN) and Eric B. Largy and wife Pamela (Indianapolis, IN); grandchildren, Lance Wilkerson, Ryan Wilkerson, Scott Wilkerson, Brett Wilkerson, Laurisa Nunn, Monica Soel and Cassandra Pham; eight great grandchildren; sister Jeanne Mayfield and brother Robert Wilson. Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center-Broad Ripple with calling two hours prior. Burial will be held at Lincoln Memory Gardens, 6851 S. Indianapolis Road, Whitestown, IN immediately following the service. Family and friends are welcome to convene for refreshments at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1660 Kessler Blvd East Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46220 following the burial service. In addition to flowers, contributions may be made to: Millersville Masonic Lodge / Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Indianapolis, IN.
