Victor Dale Thompson

Mr. Victor Dale Thompson, son of the late Regina and Emmett Thompson was born on July 10 1943 in Beech Grove, Indiana at St. Francis Hospital. Dale was a brother to 2, an older brother Emmett, and a twin sister Victoria. Dale grew up in the Indianapolis area, where he played sports and worked at the Thompson-owned Gas station. Dale attended St. Joseph's Catholic grade school, Cathedral, and Ben Davis High School where he would go on to graduate in 1961. Soon after graduating high school, Dale began his career as a truck driver. Dale drove trucks all across the country for over 50 years. Dale also served in the National Guard from 1965-1970.

Most importantly after high school Dale met the love of his life Nancy Laverne Kent. They married soon after in August of 1965 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Dale and Nancy were married for 59 years. Dale had many hobbies which included dancing, golfing, coaching, umpiring, washing his car, and attending all of his kids and grandkids sporting events, he rarely missed one.

Dale passed away on March 5th, 2024 surrounded by all of his loved ones. Dale will be remembered as a loving father, pappy, and husband. Dale is survived by his wife Nancy Thompson; his 3 Children: Jeff (Tiffany), Stephanie (David Esterline), and Monica (Samuel Bloomer); his 9 grandchildren: Lucy, Annabelle, Nick, Eli, Gus, Coco, Maria, Mira, and Sammy. 

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church 3354 West 30th Street Indianapolis, Indiana 46222.
