Vernon L. Ridge

Vernon L. Ridge 89, of Indianapolis passed away on February 23, 2012. He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and attended Georgia Tech. He was retired from Overhead Door. He was an Army veteran of WW II, serving in the 10th Armor Division. He was a founding member of Chapel Rock Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ridge, son, Robert K. Ridge and grandson, Jordan Ridge. He is survived by son, Kerry (Susan) Ridge; grandchildren, Ryan, Travis, Justin and Joseph Ridge, great-granddaughter, Jaiden Ridge, twin sister, Vivian Freeland and special friend, Mary Jo Yates. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Chapel Rock Christian Church. Services will be, Monday, February 27, 2011 at 11 am with calling one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Rock Christian Church.
