93 years old,of Lawrence, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016. She was born to thelate, Lawrence and Myrtle Thompson. Verna was devoted to her family, sheenjoyed traveling, genealogy, and cooking for everyone. Verna worked as anassembler for Curtis Wright and also as a telephone operator. She was known forher bright and generous charisma to all who knew her.

Verna issurvived by her children, Cheryl Mitchell (David), Laree Milton, and DevoeVillines (Ronda); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded indeath by her loving husband, Alfred Devoe Villines; siblings, Carl and Opal.
