Verna Nau

Verna I. "Vicki" Croddy Nau, 88, Indianapolis, passed away July 23, 2015. She was born August 16, 1926, in Oakford, the daughter of the late Dallas A. and Garnet (Wade) Croddy. She married James F. Nau on September 18, 1949, who preceded her in passing August 5, 2013. Verna was a proud graduate of Shortridge High School and Butler University. She was a member of First-Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church, Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Butler University Alumni, and the Riviera Club. She retired in 1990 as the Assistant Director at American Village. She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia (Charles) Woods; two grandsons, Nate Woods and Scott (Yvonne) Woods; and four great grandchildren, Autumn, Brecken, Grace, and Eleanor. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the services at Washington Park North Cemetery.
