Verda Mae Hiday

Verda Mae Hiday, age 90, of Indianapolis passed away March 24, 2018 after an extended illness.  She was born August 5, 1927 to the late Wilmer and Marie Gerringer.  Verda was a 1945 graduate of Shortridge High School.  She lived her entire life in the Fortville and Indianapolis area.  Verda loved to laugh and enjoyed being the life of any party.

Survivors include four children; Mike (Connie) Christensen of Lodi, Wisconsin; Mark (Kay) Christensen of Indianapolis; Christy (Mike) Prewitt of French Lick, Indiana and Sheri (Thom) Kessler of Indianapolis.  Verda was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  Preceding her in death besides her parents and two sisters was a grandchild, Stephen Michael Christensen.

Friends and family will gather for remembrance at Flanner and Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana on April 3, 2018 at 1:00.  A Funeral rite with prayer service will follow at 2:00 P.M.
