Vera Circenis

Vera Circenis, 95, Indianapolis, passed away May 27, 2014. She was born May 23, 1919, in Krimulda, Latvia, the daughter of the late Julijs and Emma Lapins. Vera retired from Indiana National Bank after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Latvian Community Center. She enjoyed reading, had a love of opera, and was an avid gardener. She is survived by her two sons, John (Anita) Circenis and Peter (Diana Ezerins); and three granddaughters, Krista, Kristine, and Sophie Circenis. She was preceded in passing by two sisters, Ausma Jente and Irma Lapins; and a brother, Janis Lapins. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Flanner and Buchanan – Broad Ripple, 1305 East Broad Ripple Avenue. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the Latvian Community Center.
