Velma Plummer

November 28, 1915 — February 15, 2015

Velma E. Beuke Plummer, 99, a resident of Zionsville Meadows and formerly of Indianapolis, IN, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Indianapolis the daughter of Henry and Aurelia (Lentz) Beuke. She graduated from Washington High School and had been a bookkeeper for Prest-O-Lite Battery Company for several years. She also owned Plummer's Furniture Store in Indianapolis and had been a clerk for several auction houses. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Earl Plummer; and a brother, Col. Henry Beuke. Velma is survived by her sister, Helen Hubbell of Brownsburg; brothers, Donald Beuke of Avon, IN and Robert Beuke of Lawrence, IN; 22 nieces and nephews; 45 great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM, Friday, February 20, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46228. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the service time at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online at www.flannerbuchanan.com
