Velma L. Hinshaw

Velma L. Hinshaw, 87, of Carmel passed away July 17, 2021.  She was born April 16, 1934, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late George Elmer and Ada Louise (Miley) Dooley.  She married L. Dale Hinshaw, and he preceded her in passing on July 1, 2019 after 68 years of marriage.

She is survived by three children, Diana Sue (Patrick) Morton, Michael Dale (Barbara) Hinshaw, and Christina Jo Futch; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lynette) Rogers, Jason (Tara) Rogers, Erika (Niko Brahtz) Hinshaw, Ann (Karthik) Shanmugham, Alan Hinshaw, Chris Shadoan, and Dominique (Chanelle) Futch; great grandchildren, Abigail, Nate (Gabby), Jacob, Gabrielle, Layla, Elijah, Edrisa, Rakshan, Kalyan, Arjun, and Kade; great-great grandchildren, Lily, David, and Jayden; and her sister, Colleen (Ralph) Nichols.

Family and friends are invited to gather beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30pm.
