Cliff was a proud Boilermaker, earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1962 and a master’s in industrial engineering in 1984 from Purdue University. Both before and after his military service, Cliff worked at the Naval Air Warfare Center, a United States Navy facility in Indianapolis. When NAWC closed in 1996, Cliff retired from federal service but continued to work in the same building for Hughes and later Raytheon. Cliff was a man of many passions. He was an accomplished painter and photographer, capturing the beauty he saw in his extensive travels.
