Ula G. Evans

ULA EVANS, daughter of Annie and Willie Graham, was born October 18, 1942 in Newton, Mississippi. She confessed a love of Christ at an early age and joined St. Hill Baptist Church in Newton, Mississippi. She bore five children. She relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1978 where she joined Eastern Star Baptist Church. She was united in wedlock to Noble Evans. ULA was a Respiratory Therapist for 23 years at IU Riley Hospital Infant ICU. She loved to cook, eat, watch Young And The Restless and Wheel Of Fortune. She also loved shopping, traveling, sewing and her Brazil nuts, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would freeze you out of her house with her air conditioning. ULA peacefully entered eternal rest on November 9, 2013 at 3 a.m. at Harcourt Terrace Rehabilitation in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was 71 years of age. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Willie Graham and one sister, Emma Dean Watson. She is survived by her husband, Noble Evans of Indianapolis, Indiana; two daughters, Joye (Keith) Gibson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Tonya (Gary) Boone of Gardner, Kansas; three sons, Osa Lee Robinson of Houston, Texas, Frederick (Tomickca) Robinson of Newport News, Virginia, and Kawam (Natalie) Evans of Indianapolis, Indiana; ten grandchildren, Darrell and Antjuan Gibson, Kenethia and Asia Robinson, Marquell and Elshaun Robinson, Jordan and Raven Boone, and Natasha and Jamison Evans; three great-grandchildren, Jaden, London, and Ke'Shawn Gibson; three sisters, Mary Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana, Barbara Graham of Atlanta, Georgia, and Elizabeth Hardy of Franklin, Kentucky; one brother, Henry (Nancy) Graham; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives, and friends. Services: 12 p.m. Nov. 16 at Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park North with calling there from 10 a.m. Entombment: Washington Park North Cemetery.
