U.B. Quarles, Jr.

Mr. U.B. Quarles Jr. was born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on August 19, 1942, to Mr. U.B. Quarles Sr. and Mrs. Ollie Quarles.

U.B. was the third of eight children. U.B.'s parents, along with three brothers and two sisters, preceded him in death.

U.B. attended School Number 87 and continued to Crispus Attucks High School where he graduated and then married his high school sweetheart, Constance Bellamy in 1967. To this union, a baby boy, Daniel LaMont, was born. They were blessed to spend 58 years in marriage.

U.B. worked at Chrysler Foundry, where he retired.

U.B. was a faithful member of 25th Street Baptist Church until his health began to fail. U.B. was a quiet and gentle soul. He loved to BBQ, travel, and spend time with the family.

U.B. departed this life November 14, 2025, at home with his family. Leaving to cherish his memory are wife, Constance Quarles; son, Daniel Quarles; two godsons, Steven Moore and Freeman Coates; sister, Hazel (Bishop Ronald Smith); brother, Wahid Abdullah “Keith” (Faye); as well as nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends.

U.B. will be greatly missed by all who loved him dearly.
