Tresa L. Davis Wright, age 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson, Indiana.
Tresa was born on June 11, 1940, to Wilfred and Francis Davis, and was the youngest of 7. She grew up on Alabama Street in Indianapolis and attended St. Mary’s School and Arsenal Technical High School. She worked many jobs during her career, but most of her years as a paralegal. She loved photography, ancestry research, collecting movies and books but more than anything, she loved her time spent with family and friends.
Tresa was known in her community at Woodruff Place and St. Peter’s Lutheran School and Church as “Mom”. She made it a point to be supportive and caring to everyone that was lucky enough to meet her. She cared deeply about her family and made everyone she met feel a part of that family. Tresa was always playful, quick with a smile and a laugh, and loved to share stories with people. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Terri and Daniel Quintana, stepson Larry (Irene) Brooks, daughter-in-law Kathy Wright, her grandchildren: Erica McCalley, Jason and Kendra McCalley, Jennifer Quintana-Thompson, Samatha (Brian Glover), Andrew Wright and Dimitri Brooks; her great grandchildren: Remington and John McCalley, Alyssa and Lincoln Thompson; her nephew Bill (Linda) Davis; her nieces Starlene Davis, Jackie Butts, Pat (Denny) Coleman and sister-in-law: Brenda (Larry McFarland).
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Davis, and mother, Francis (Ballard) Davis, her siblings: Jasper, John T. (Doris), Annabel (Joseph Hemingway), Wilfred Jr., William (Bill), Betty Joe (Jack Simmons), nieces Nancy Davis and Linda Davis, great-grandson Rowan McCalley, infant son Anthony Dixon (father: Ken Dixon), stepson Kenneth Wright Jr. and her late husband Kenneth Wright.
A visitation will be held in Tresa honor 11-2pm February 21st, 2026, followed by a service at 2pm, all will take place at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, she requested any donations to be made to Riley Children’s Hospital in honor of her Great-Grandson, Rowan.
