Anthony (Tony) Joseph Frattini of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on July 5, 2012. He was born in Logrow, West Virginia on March 12, 1922, the son of Domenica and Cesare Frattini. Tony grew up in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, graduated from Blairsville High School in 1939 and was an outstanding wrestler. During the Second World War he served as a B-17 pilot and flew 35 missions in Europe including D-Day. Returning to the US he received a Bachelors degree from Ohio State University in 1949 and subsequently became a successful business man for the next 40 years. He is survived by Helen (Demangone) his high school sweetheart and wife for 68 years, son James of Ellicott City, Maryland and daughter Diane (Tallmadge) of Durango, Colorado. Tony is survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a brother Octavius (Spudder) Frattini and a sister Natalie (Ernestine) Morton both of Pittsburgh, Pa. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jeannine Meyer and a brother Joseph (Pappy) Frattini. A private service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Disabled American Veterans.
