Tommy James Kendrick
December 15th 1940-August 4th 2012
Tommy Kendrick, 71, of Indianapolis Indiana, died August 4th. Tommy was born December 15, 1940 in Ballinger, Texas to the late Willie and Helen Novak Kendrick. He graduated from Texas A&M College and served for 3 years in the US Army. He retired from the Department of Commerce, NOAA division, after a career of 40 years as a physical oceanographer. Tommy was a Certified Professional Photographer sharing his talent for event and portrait photography for the majority of his life. He served as a Boy Scout Master and Girl Scout Assistant Leader for his children's troops. His greatest joy in life was being a father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Lorraine Ann, who was his 7th grade sweetheart whom he adored. Tommy is also survived by his children William (Adrienne), and Katherine and his grandchildren Teilhard, Ian, and Erin.
Visitation will be held at Flanner and Buchanan- Carmel from 1-3PM Tuesday August 7th followed by a memorial service at 3PM. Donations, in lieu of flowers are can be sent to the American Heart Association.
