Thomas F. Rowles born February 10, 1938 to Frederick W. and Pauline M. Rowles, in Lancaster, Ohio went home to be with his Lord on February 8, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carma Rowles; brother, David (Linda) Rowles of Lancaster, Ohio; three sons, Kevin (Jackie), Steven (Diane) and Daniel (Jane); eight grandchildren, Jamie, Kelsey, Alia, Heather, Kyle, David, Elizabeth and Sarah; niece, Mollie (Tom) Ritter of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephew, Mark (Emily) Rowles of Cazenovia, NY.
Upon graduation from Rushville Union (OH) High School, Tom enrolled and completed an 8000 hour apprentice program with Cincinnati Milling Machine Company (Cincinnati Milacron), in conjunction with the University of Cincinnati, specializing in engineering and shop management. His final assignment (18 of his 40 year career) was in Central Indiana as Field Sales Engineer.
While in Cincinnati he was very active with St. Mark's Lutheran Church and after moving to Indianapolis was very active in Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He served in various offices and committees in both churches over the years.
Tom was an avid golfer coordinating the weekly morning choose-up matches at Pebble Brook Golf in Noblesville where he resided. He also coordinated a number of golf trips that he and his buddies traveled to and enjoyed throughout the country.
Services will be 5:00 pm Thursday, February 13 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church 3650 W. 106th St. Carmel with visitation before the service at the church from 3:00 to 5:00. The committal service will be at 1:00 pm Firday, February 14 at Grace Lutheran Church, Colfax, Ohio.
