Tom Ellis

Tom Ellis, 87, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026. Tom was the son of Samuel Harry and Laura Mae Ellis, who preceded him in death. 

Tom attended Arsenal Tech High School and went on to build a fulfilling life running The Ellis Corporation from 1967 to the early 2000's. He started Fountain Realty and renovated homes in Fountain Square for many years. Tom was dedicated to everything he did. 

Tom was loved by all. He was generous in every way and truly enjoyed helping others. He also enjoyed listening to classical music Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Rosie Ellis; son, Andrew Ellis and daughter in law, Deborah, and two brothers, Don Ellis and Samuel (Kathy) Ellis. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Ellis.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 1 pm till 2 pm, with a Funeral service beginning at 2 pm. at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46229

Burial to immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, 435 West Troy Ave. Indianapolis, IN.

In 1990, Rosie and Tom started Southside Animal Shelter. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Southside Animal Shelter, 1614 W. Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46217
