Timothy “Tim” Lee Shumaker “Shuie”
Timothy “Tim” Lee Shumaker, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026. Tim was born on September 22, 1960, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert T. Shumaker and Patrcia (Reasner) Shumaker. Tim was a man whose laughter could light up any room and whose spirit embraced life to the fullest, passed away leaving behind a legacy of friendship, passion, and joy.
Tim was a true enthusiast of craftsmanship and horsepower. He had a deep love for custom-built cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, finding pride and excitement in the artistry and power they represented. Whether at a local car show or among fellow enthusiasts, Tim was in his element sharing stories, admiring engines, and forming lasting connections.
A devoted fan of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” Tim never missed a chance to celebrate the Indy 500, an event that brought him immense joy year after year. His love for rhythm and blues music was equally strong. He could often be found attending concerts, soaking in the soulful sounds he cherished, or adding to his treasured CD collection.
Tim had an infectious sense of humor that drew people in and lifted spirits. His circle of close-knit friends was a testament to the kind of man he was loyal, caring, and always present. They shared a bond built on laughter, support, and the simple but meaningful act of checking in on one another.
Above all, Tim held a special place in his heart for his mother. Their closeness was evident in the time they shared and the deep love they had for one another.
Tim embraced life with a celebratory spirit. Whether surrounded by friends or enjoying a quiet moment, he raised his favorite drink, a Crown and Coke as a toast to life itself.
Shuie, you will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew you.
Cheers to a great life.
