Thomas "Bill" William Stoeffler, age 87, was born in Indianapolis and moved his family to Pittsboro, Indiana, where they were longtime residents.
Bill had a great love of family, God, country and compassion for animals. Along with his loving wife Jacqueline, he gave his children the great gift of faith, as he loved the Lord, and the Mother of God with all of his heart. He served as a young man in the United States Navy, on the USS Claxton. He had several interesting occupations during his life with his last vocation as an Indianapolis Capital Police Officer. Although, he will be truly missed by his family and friends, we celebrate his life and transcendence to his now heavenly home.
Bill is survived by his adoring wife Jacqueline, brother Henry Stoeffler, son Thomas A. Stoeffler, daughters Patricia A. (Jeff) Perry and Mary E. Bennett. He is also survived by his grandchildren Christina Lane, Holly Bennett, Seth Perry and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Isabelle Stoeffler, two sisters and five brothers.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Brownsburg and Zionsville Meadows for the excellent treatment he received while in their care. Also, thank you to St. Vincent Hospice Care Center for their support in his final days. We would like to include our immense appreciation to the St. Malachy Parish of Brownsburg, the family's church home for many years. We want to mention a special thank you to St. Alphonsus Church of Zionsville, and Rev. Father Dennis J. O'Keeffe for his amazing compassion and support along with Deacon Gary Kuenz.
