Thomas Reid Eberhard Sr

Thomas Reid Eberhard, Sr., 93, passed away on October 18, 2022.

He was born in Columbia City, Indiana on April 6, 1929 to Reid Henry and Edna Mae Eberhard.

Tom was an excellent carpenter, loved to build, and adored sports. He especially loved attending his grandchildren’s activities and tried not to ever miss one. He was also great at cooking, most notably his grilled cheese sandwiches, popcorn, and fried potatoes.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Darla Griffiths (John), Cheryl Shaw, and Tom Eberhard (Becky); grandchildren, Kara Huff (Nathan), Kristen Miller (Andrew), Natalie Lohrmann (Tim), Lydia Griffiths, Reid Eberhard (Shari), Abby Gauen (Karl), Gavin Griffiths, Matthew Shaw, Elise O’Dore (Devin), Kendra Eberhard; and great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Connor, Jonah, Kit, Joshua.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Darlene; and his siblings, Gale, June, and Phyllis.

Funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229 with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Five Star Residences of Clearwater.
