Thomas Joseph Mindas Jr.

Thomas Joseph Mindas, Jr., 71, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, in Indianapolis. He was born May 3, 1951, to Thomas Joseph & Joann Veronica (Corrigan) Mindas in Carbondale, Pennsylvania.

Tom heroically served in the United States Navy from 1969-1972 and was Honorably Discharged in 1972 after protecting his country in the Vietnam War.

He married the love of his life, Darlene Barbara (Zess) Mindas, March 19, 2002. Tom and Darlene resided in Spring Hill, FL, where they rescued animals, including a one-eyed cat, until moving to Indianapolis this year.

He is survived by his wife Darlene; son Thomas (Molly) Mindas from Clarks Summit, PA; stepson Troy (Katie) Warthan from Indianapolis, IN; four grandsons Wesley, Seth, Tucker, Bryson; one granddaughter Samantha plus sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews.

Tom loved his grandchildren, was a proud veteran, and will be missed tremendously by his friends and family.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Thomas J Mindas, Sr. and Joann Veronica (Corrigan) Mindas.

A private service with full military honors will take place at a later date.
