Thomas J. Scott
80, of Indianapolis, died November 26, 2010. He was born in Buffalo, NY, on June 9, 1930, to Thomas and Louise Keeler Scott. He graduated from McKinley Technical High School in 1948 in Washington, D.C., and from Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio, in absentia, with the class of 1953. After school, he worked for RCA in Cambridge, Ohio, and in Bloomington, Indiana. He also worked for IDI in Noblesville, IN, from 1978 to 1991.
Tom enlisted in the Navy during the Korean War in April 1953 and served until March 1957, where he served as a medic in Japan. He was a member of the Indian Creek Christian Church. Tom was married to Maxine Mead Scott on September 7, 1958.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Maxine; son, Dane (Valerie) Scott, of Ellettsville; daughter, Wendy (Tad) Belknap, of Bradenton, FL, Katharine (Marc) Sinnock, of Indianapolis, Lisa Steenbergen, of Ft. Michell, KY, Barbara (Mark) Jackson, of Greenwood, Terri (Scott) Bream, of Louisville, KY; 13 grandchildren, and one great grandson.
Visitation for Tom will be held on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center- Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Private Burial: Oaklawn Memorial Gardens
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to aid in the cancer treatment of Elias Brockman, grandson. The family would like to thank all theirs friends, and the staff of Rosegate Village for their wonderful care and concern.
