Thomas Eugene Taylor

Thomas Eugene Taylor, 80, of Avon, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013. He was born on May 7, 1932 in Benton, Ill to Monroe Ray and Morene (Braden) Taylor. Thomas attended Southern Illinois University and was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He worked as a banker until his retirement in 1991 and was a 50 year member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. Thomas is survived by his wife, Sara Taylor; daughter, Ellen (Stuart) Rowley; grandchildren, Andrew and Mariah Rowley; great-granddaughter, Keeley Rowley. He was preceded in death by his son, Andy Taylor. Funeral services will be held at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1pm, with visitation 2 hours prior to the services. Entombment will follow in Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to John Knox Presbyterian Church.
