Thomas E. Glazier, 61, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday. He was born in 1951 to Evelyn and Tolleson Glazier. He is survived by his wife Marsha (Headley); daughter, Kari Lynn; son, Bradley Thomas and wife Beth; granddaughter, Capri; father-in law, William Headley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Tom was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School. He then attended Indiana University, and was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He graduated in 1974. After graduation he taught special education for 5 years, then changed careers and worked as a claims adjustor at State Farm Insurance for 34 years.
Tom was a wonderful husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He spent many years coaching baseball at Warren Little League and cheering on the kids in soccer. Tom's favorite place to vacation was Jamaica, but he also loved Gatlinburg, Cedar Point, and any beach! He had many talents including being an amazing woodworker and guitar player. Tom was a great friend to many. He was generous, selfless, and never met a stranger. He felt spending time with his family and friends was what life was all about.
Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, also at Flanner and Buchanan. Tom was a casual guy who loved his flip flops and Hawaiian shirts. In his memory, feel free to wear your Hawaiian shirt.
