Thomas Edward Fritch
84 Indianapolis, passed away Feb 16, 2014 in Carmel Indiana. He was born Feb 28, 1929 to the late Hugo and Pauline Fritch, In Jasper Indiana. He attended Indiana University (Kappa Delta Rho), and later graduated from Butler University. He retired from GMAC after 30 years, and became the icon of Greek Tonys Pizza (Carmel In) "Greek Tony" himself. He served in the 931st Tactical Airlift Group, Bakalar Air Force Base, home of the 434th Tactical Airlift Wing. Major Fritch was named "Outstanding Officer of The Year" August 12th 1968. He was Active in Bedford Theater "little Indians", Mud Creek Players, Antelope Club, Indianapolis Hiking Club, Knights of Columbus, American Legion. He completed Sailing school April 6 1973. He was an Eagle Scout, certified diver, and loved to swim, ski, cook, bird watch, read, watch hockey, hike, travel, loved his dog, and most of all joke and kid around with family, friends and spend time with his kids and grandkids, and be a devoted dad and grandpa for his son Matt Fritch Daughter in-law Shannon, Daughter Nicole Son in-law Clarence, grandkids Gavin, Madison, Pete, Gabe, Luke, and Noah. Family wants to thank his dear friends, Karey, Peter, Hugh, Sally, Kimmy, Stephanie, Sara and the crew at Greek Tonys Pizza, Dr. Freudenthal, Dr. Gropp, Dr. Bobos, and their staff at Carmel St. V, Britney and her staff at Kindred Transitional Care And Rehab, Tim and Staff at Wellbrooke, and his dear friends who all visited, called and asked about him. Memorial Services will be held 6:00 P.M. Monday, Feb 24th at Flanner and Buchanan - Carmel 325 East Carmel Drive Carmel , IN 46032 with calling 1 hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
