Thomas Earl Lenahan,
90 passed away July 7, 2016 in the presenceof family. Tom retired after 42 years of employment with Eli Lilly & Co. as a SeniorTechnical Associate, where he made many friends. Tom was part of the “Greatest Generation” as aWorld War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. Imparting his faith to others was a very important part of hislife. Tom claimed the honor of being the first boy baptized at Little Flower Church. He graduated fromCathedral High School in 1943. Tom and his family were part of Holy Spirit parish and communityfor over 50 years as well as Holy Name parish prior to that. He volunteered at grade schoolscience fairs, parish festivals, CYO programs, and Communion ministry. Tom was a 4th Degree in theKnights of Columbus, Fatima Council. Tom did not know a stranger and had the gift ofestablishing personal connections, making all he encountered feel welcome. Born in 1925, the second son of Francis and Aletha (McCain)Lenahan.
One of the proudest things in Tom’s life was his 54 year marriage to hiswife, Mary Catherine (Breen) Lenahan who preceded him in death. Their family legacy of 11 children, 34grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren continues to flourish. Survivors include: siblingsJames Lenahan, Bernard(Marge) Lenahan, Mary Terese McCarty, Paul “David”(Theresa)Lenahan, Eileen(Gene) White. Eleven Children Thomas (Lisa) Lenahan, Mary “Beth” (Tim) Armour, Jean (John) Pazos, Patricia Lenahan, Stephen Lenahan, Catherine (Harold)Barnes, Daniel (Maureen) Lenahan, Brian (Mary) Lenahan, John (Julie) Lenahan, Michael(Bridget) Lenahan, Edward ”Ted” (Janell) Lenahan. His brother Francis “Joe” Lenahan,son in law John Pazos, and grandson Alexander Pazos also preceded him in death.

Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN with funeralMass at 11:00a.m. Wednesday, July 13th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 7243 E.10th Street Indianapolis, IN.
