Theresa Veccia-Young

Theresa Veccia Young, 55, of Carmel, passed away February 5, 2014 at home with her family. She was born October 16, 1958, in Cleveland Ohio. Theresa is survived by her husband David, their sons David, Andrew and James, her mother Dolores, and sisters Bridget and Laura. Theresa had a talent for foreign languages and loved to travel. She obtained her Ph.D. in Latin American History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Theresa was a tutor at North Central High School in Indianapolis where her passion was working with students from other countries. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 9, at Flanner and Buchanan- Carmel , 325 E. Carmel Drive from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10.30 a.m. on Monday February 10 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Carmel, where friends may call from 9.30 a.m. until time of service. Her final resting place will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
