Theoratis Mooney

Theoratis Jones Mooney, 79, Indianapolis passed Jan. 19. 2015 in Tampa, FL. He was born Feb. 14, 1935 in Helena, AR. He moved to Indianapolis when he was young and attended his education in Indianapolis schools. Theoratis served honorably in the Air Force during the Korean War and began and enjoyed boxing. He worked at Allison's Gas Turbine in aircraft parts production as a Control Supervisor, where he retired after over 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, card games, traveling and being with close family and friends. Theoratis is survived by his wife, Marlene; 3 children, Lynn Sebree, Rita Mooney and Theodore Mooney, Sr.; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Manning; close cousin, Robert Bragg and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Florence Gant and brother, Odell Mooney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30am Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015 at Flanner and Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Rd.
