Theodore G. Maniakas 86, died July 5, 2011 at American Village Nursing Home in Indianapolis. He was born March 29, 1925 in Warren, Pennsylvania to Greek immigrant parents, Gus and Marianthe Maniakas. He married Elizabeth Kirages of Crawfordsville, Indiana in 1952 who preceded him in death in 2008. Ted, as he was known, was the owner and proprietor of the "New Yorker" cocktail lounge in Warren, PA for 30 years. Ted moved to Indianapolis in 2004 and was a resident of Washington Manor at American Village. He is survived by his daughter, Marina Jarvie; son, Constantine Maniakas; sister, Mary Ellen Evangelides; and four grandchildren, Robert Fredrickson, Kristen Maniakas, Ashley Jarvie and Alex Maniakas. Services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, July 8 at 2 p.m. with calling from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church
