Thelma May Mandara

Thelma May (Hillman) Mandara 95 of Indianapolis died November 19, 2011. Thelma was born May 10, 1916 in Union, IN to James and Leah (Harvey) Hillman. Thelma graduated from Union High School where she was valedictorian. She was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church and a founding member of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Vincent Mandara. Thelma was a department manager for H. P. Wasson Department Stores. Calling will begin on Tuesday November 22 at Flanner and Buchanan Washington Park North at 12:30 PM followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. Thelma is survived by her son Michael (Bonnie) Mandara, grandchildren Lauren (Will) Schneider, Kelsey Macke, Vincent and Nick Mandara and two great grandchildren Sierra and Garrett Schneider. Entombment will be in Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
