Thelma L. Thornberry

Thelma L. (Brunner) Thornberry age 84 of Westfield, passed away on January 10, 2011. She was born on April 5, 1925 to the late Clifford and Hildred (Pope) Brunner in Greensburg, Indiana. Thelma married Virgil “Vaughn” Thornberry Jr. on July 18, 1945 and he survives Thelma. She was a member of Westfield Friends Church, Hamilton County Home Extensions. Thelma enjoyed teaching ceramics to children in 4H and her church. She enjoyed gardening, birds, cooking but most importantly her family, who will greatly miss her, husband Virgil “Vaughn”, their four devoted children Sandra and husband Steve Hildebrand, Larry Thornberry, Teresa Tinney and Dan and wife Lori Thornberry. Seven loving grandchildren Mike and wife Tamber Hildebrand, Tim and wife Alyssa Hildebrand, Matt and wife Melissa Hildebrand, David and Carissa Tinney and Jessica and Ryan Thornberry. She is also survived by four great grandchildren and a sister Linda and husband Curt Sandifer also several nieces and nephews. Preceding Thelma in death her two sisters Janice and Norma. A funeral service will be held on Friday January 14, 2011 at Flanner and Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park Funeral Center and Cemetery at 1:00 pm with burial to follow. Calling at Flanner and Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park from 11:00 am till time of services. Donations may be made to Westfield Friends Church or Maple Park Village.
