Theda L. Holmes Greene

Theda Lila Greene, 83, of Kaneville, IL, formerly of Greendale, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 17, 2011. She was born in Gallatin, TN on March 14, 1928, the daughter of Clarence and Navara (Brown) Holmes. Theda grew up in Indianapolis, IN and graduated from Ben Davis High School. She worked many years as a medical office secretary for William E. Bodenhammer, D.O. while raising two sons from her first marriage of 16 years. She later married the love of her life with whom she shared the joy of travel. She loved life, everyone she ever met and always said, "Jesus will take care of me." She is survived by two sons, Larry (Elaine) Poole of Kaneville, IL and Mark (Lela) Poole of Burlington, IA, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey M. Greene and her "Sissy," Frances Peyton.
