Terry R. Schultz

September 8, 1961 — February 18, 2026

Carmel, IN

Terry Robert Schultz, 64, passed away on February 18, 2026. While his passing was sudden, his life was anything but defined by one moment. Terry’s life was beautiful and was instead defined by deep faith, quiet strength, steadiness, humility, and a heart that gave far more than it ever asked for.

Terry showed his love for others and for God not through grand speeches, but through humble, selfless action. If something was broken, he fixed it. If someone needed help, he was the first one to show up. Terry was, as his son Riley lovingly said, “AI before there was AI,” especially when it came to his electrical expertise. He was, in many ways, an electrical savant. Yet he remained humble to his core, using his God-given talents to serve others, generously giving his time and remarkable knowledge to neighbors, friends, family, organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, and countless others, never seeking recognition despite these extraordinary gifts he carried.

To know Terry was to know steadiness and safety. He was the person you could count on in big moments and in small — a constant presence of quiet strength and unwavering faith. Terry also carried a wickedly tongue-in-cheek sense of humor — the kind that caught you off guard and left you laughing long after the moment passed.

He found joy in the things he loved: trains, Cubs baseball, all things related to Purdue University, Chicago Bears football, Def Leppard, and of course, his work at Storms McMullen Electric & Electric Plus. He took immense pride in his home, which was a reflection of his heart — carefully and meticulously built, patiently tended, and full of life. Whether growing tomatoes in the garden, perfecting the flowers around the yard, or building a fence so his beloved basset hounds could roam freely, Terry poured love into the people, the spaces, and all creatures great and small entrusted to him.

Terry shared just shy of 22 beautiful years of marriage with his wife, Jennifer. Their life together was built on faith, partnership, laughter, and unwavering love. On their final evening together, they were belly laughing — ending the night the same way they had lived so many of their days: with joy. Their last words to one another were “I love you,” a sacred exchange that perfectly reflects the life they shared.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his beloved children, Nolan, Riley (Shelby), Alex (Emily), Emily, and Victoria; his sister, Kathy; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Will, Olivia, Eden, and Reign; and many other family members and dear friends whose lives were made better by knowing him. Terry’s family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support they have received, which has been a source of immense comfort and strength in this incredibly difficult time.

Terry’s legacy is not measured in titles or accolades, but rather in his endless acts of selfless service, the countless moments of laughter he shared with so many, and in the love that will continue to radiate in the lives of those he leaves behind. “Well, done, good and faithful servant.”

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 28, from 11:00am to 1:00pm, with the service beginning at 1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park - Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Road, Noblesville, IN 46060).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to GABR (Guardian Angels Basset Rescue), an organization near and dear to Terry’s heart. Through GABR, he welcomed two basset hounds he adored into his life and found a community grounded in kindness and service. Supporting GABR is a meaningful way to honor his love for these gentle companions that brought so much light into his life.
