Terry Pottenger

Terry Allan Pottenger 58, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015. He was the loving father of Andrew (Melissa), Stephanie, Amy, and Megan Pottenger. The son of Nancy Pottenger and the late Lloyd A. Pottenger, Jr., brother to Garry (Constance) Pottenger and Connie J. Pottenger, uncle to Mark (Angela) Land, great uncle to Alyssa, Avery and Reece, former spouse to Susan McCracken and loved by many relatives and numerous friends. He graduated from Cardinal Ritter High School in 1975 and Indiana University in 1979 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing. A dedicated member of Seventh and Eighth United Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he was an Elder, Vice-Board Chair, Sunday School teacher, former Board President and trustee. He also was a former Vice-President of The Optimist Club of Indianapolis and former Scout Master – Boy Scouts of America. He was an excellent salesman for many companies and was an agent for United Insurance Company of America. Visitation will be from 4pm until 8pm, Friday, January 23 at Seventh and Eighth United Christian Church, 2916 W. 30th St., Indpls, 46222. Services will be Saturday at 1pm with calling two hours prior at the church. Burial will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Seventh and Eighth United Christian Church.
