Tekla Olga Kaulins

Tekla Olga Kaulins, 96 of Carmel, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018.  Tekla was born in Latvia on February 6, 1922 to the late Janis and Anna Turkupolis.  She worked at Western Electric for 27 years.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, May 11 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 9:30 am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Tekla was the widow of Janis Kaulins and was formerly married to Peteris Mikels.  She is survived by her children, Lilija/Lilly (Martins) Putelis and Karlis Mikels; grandchildren, Kristaps, Aija and Tija Putelis, Jennifer Mikels and her family; sisters, Emilja Jirgen and Anna Turkupolis in Latvia.
